Ok well I went to Silver dollar raceway this morning for import showdown and I get there put the drag wheels on, splitter on lookin good. Wait 45 minuites in the staging lanes and get up on the line for my first boosted run, do a moderate burnout to get the tires sticky. Stage the car and rev to about 2000k rpm, didnt wanna leave on boost. I jump then nothing, car wont move in any gear. We take it back to the pics and jack it up and remove the front wheels and spin the hub and head a clicking noise. I thought it was the Quaife but I am being told most likely its an axle broke where the spines start, these are stage 2 waranteed axles so thats fine but the $440.00 towing bill to get home yesterday pissed me off. I spin 1 tire and the other dosent move at all on either side. Well here is a 20 second video of the mishap.

Bummer! That would have been a fun race!

Don't you have AAA? The premium version has unlimited towing and it's only $80-ish per year.

No I dont have AAA but towing is covered under my usaa insurance so I am contacting them about being reimbursed. And yeah I was pissed but no use in punching my car cause it failed, that would be a fail in itself.

"no use in punching my car cause it failed, that would be a fail in itself"

now THATS a ROFLER, haha

I know, but I have problems with anger, I once made the biggest ass out of myself evar because my first ranger crunched a clutch while I had two hot girls in it and doing a series of compund drifts on a gravel road that went around a lake. thing decided to quit completely sideways in the road, and when other cars came, they were super-pissed. I completely lost my friggin mind, and one of the girls called a looser in some kind of 1980's turd yellow hatch of some kind (sounded like turd too, lmao). most embarrasing thing EVAAAAR!

That sucks man. But that's what test and tune is for... it's better to break it in a controlled environment than when you least expect it. And I'm glad to see you took it to the track instead of the streets.

gotta agree with the "least expect it" comment. seems all of my stuff does that, and at some of the worst times too.

I would take my car to the track if they had any road courses around here, closest goog road course is VIR, and thats like 4 hrs away.
heck, have to ride an hour just to get to a friggin 1/8th mile.

but.... they are building a 1/4 next to LMS, the nascar track, which is so close the races from my back yard. I'm going to have a ton of fun up there. I just wish they would let us race on the oval when there isn't a race week. wangun is my specialty, could you imagine taking my bud's boxter around the oval at over 160?
