This should be the fastest thing on here, at least very close!

Only faster for just under 8 seconds, LOL. It must be a ride. I have driven Winston Cup cars at Michigan, a Cobra R at Thunderhill at night at 170 mph with only low beams, a Suzuki Swift at night, at Mosport in the rain with no headlights, the same Cobra R going into Turn 1 at Portland and having the rear control arm break at 160 mph plus, gone backwards through a chain link fence in my Formula A kart at 60 mph, but none of those rides would make me need to change my underwear. That ride would.
You are a very, very brave man. Look at the chassis lift, bowing, wow....... Eric Nummelin |

I have a monoshock swingarm and the shock is located right behind me. The car is designed to arch so it hooks up well and can handle bumps when braking hard. Stopping a fast car without suspension is not as easy as it looks since the slicks tend to "bounce" badly when you apply the brakes too hard. With a suspended car it stops with no drama at all. Every time it launches I still scream in my helmet "Holy Chit". |

I didn't know you guys were really going swing arm and mono shock at your level. Wow, it must be hard to balance the maximized chassis dynamics required for launch and keeping it correct for braking.
Does the Mono shock set up allow for better "Tire Shake" control. I assume that with your power and tire size it is already an issue. The fastest I have gone down the track was a 10.57 and I just about cr@pped my pants for the first 60 feet with the light nose and side movement. I can't imagine the launch in your ride. If you were closer I would offer to swap a throttle limited ride in your beast with a wide open run in one of mine. Actually no I know I would need a ton of laps to even be able to step up to your ride. Hats off to you, sir. Eric Nummelin |

I breaks chassis components and disorients the driver. Most problems related to tire shake are from broken components. The suspension helps to plant the tires and stop tire spin, not really to stop tire shake. I broke the engine mounts on my car a few weeks ago and did not realize it until the first pass. The car shook the tires so violently that the chassis broke in several places. Not fun, I hurt my neck and back from the intense shaking. |
