Shop Update 9/11/09

Just taking a few minutes to post some recent pics from the shop and engine builds underway.

The flywheel pics are from a 2007 Honda Accord we had in the shop (a friend's grandfather's car). Honda wanted almost $900.00 to do the job, we charged $300... banged it out in 6 hours. Needless to say, we were heroes...lol. I included a couple...

I've been away for a bit from the forums but I'm back! Anyhow, the forums software is getting a major overhaul (which I bet if you are reading this you already can tell). Certain parts of the site are still down.. (Classifieds, Time Slips...) but those will be back up shortly. My aim in all this is to streamline the site and make it more rich.....

True Dual exhaust is on, boy is it loud...

Well, sometimes they say that if you are wishing for it - you'll get it. The overall tone of the exhaust is good, however around 2400-2900RPM the system is pretty friggin loud. I imagine I will have to experiment with mufflers again to get this quieted down a bit, we'll see.

Long Day....

So yesterday I figured it was as good day as any to install my headers I've had laying around for a while. Since I was going to repair my A/C (previous owner installed a Four Seasons Compressor that was leaking around the case) I decided while there I would kill 2 birds with one stone.

Car Show hanging with friends...

Tonight I attended a car show in Akron called SuperFly. Was pretty cool, received alot of great feedback and comments about the paint. My car wasn't emasculated at all by Brian's 507HP Goat parked next to me...lol.

I also threw in as couple of pics of my HID headlights and fogs. I have 3000K 55W fogs and 55W 8000K headlights. Both work excellent...

Busy busy day....

Today started out early around 5:30AM... Hitched up the trailer and headed west to Indiana to help Billy pick up a new addition to the local Contour family. 2007 3.0L's and quick pics...

I just received a couple of engines from my local supplier, one of those is a 2007 Ford 500 engine with 12K on it. I decided to take a look at that engine closely (in my shop) and examine what differences there are. I only have exterior pics at the moment and will open up the engine some to take a look inside shortly. Have fun looking at the pics..

Testing new engines...

It turns out we are drying out the engine well around here for low mileage 3.0L's. Normally we try to stick with 20K mile engines, but these days those engines are coming from yards all over the map. Since we now recognize a glut of 2005-2007 500/Montego engines we are currently in the process of validating one of these engines for 3.0L service as well....
