So I got the codes today. He charges $20CAN (almost the same as US) :)
P1125 Throttle Position Sensor Intermittent
P1131 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 1
The mechanic said he didn't know which of the 4 O2 sensors it is. One was easy to change. I don't know which. I just got a quote from Ford, $170-190 depending which one. Sounds a lot to me.
The TPS was $107. Sounds good.
The Low Coolant level indicator he said had to do with the windshield fluid level sensor ?!?! But only $25.
That's as far as I got today.I had no code for that.

The TPS problem is getting worse. I after I start, about 5 minutes later, I can take my foot off the gas and it will keep going until I bring the car to a full stop. I can do it with just the break or if I push it to neutral. If I put it to neutral, it will rev up to 4000 rpm. As long as the car is in movement, gear or no gear, it will give it gas. It goes away in about 5 min. Or it did. Getting worse. If I start it up and put it in gear, it might jump, like I stepped on the gas. A bit scary.
I rad somewhere about adjusting the TPS but the mechanic said this is not an adjustable TPS. ?! Can someone confirm this?
I can't wait to change it.
