Energy is neither created nor destroyed. Same applies to Life Energy. We don't really lose our loved ones, after their Ascension. Their energy is distributed amongst those they are leading, onward to the next Plane.
Kudos to my friend and grad school room mate, son of Gordon and Heather. Truly a learned man you are, Mark.

Front passenger seat removed from car... found out my car is wired for dual power seats, so if I ever want to have power seats on both sides I just have to get the track and motor.
Was fun trying to get one of the bolts out though... had to resort to using an impact just to remove it because of rust (goes through the floor pan and up behind a heat shield).

Working on FCO for a while, and I guess I should since I've neglected it for a while and realized that there was a few things that needed attention..lol. Backup server is working fine though while I get things sorted on the main.. Yay for flexibility. Next is Cloudflare..

Well... I decided to see if the cylinders were washed out after checking all 3 front plugs.
Held the throttle all the way to the floor and cranked... 10 seconds later it was firing on 4 cylinders (like crap)... I shut it off for a minute or so and repeat... all 6 cylinders started firing flawlessly... Ashley must've been praying really hard because I was just about to give up on the car.
Plus side is while I was in there I found it had an intake leak (plastic hoses were snapped off, went to...

Had to repair Ashley's old engine harness... it looks pretty good but the question is: is it going to work?

Well... removed the wiring harness from Ashley's car, turns out a LOT of the insulation on the wires is broken apart and spans of wire are missing good size chunks (allowing for cross-communication specifically on the cam/crank sensors).
So I've got the option of junkyard (going to try first) for another harness or repairing & re-insulating the existing harness (which controls/reads from: injectors, cam & crank sensors, coil pack wiring, throttle position sensor, EGR vacuum control, IAC valv...

Just fixed a few problems on a 2007 Chevy Cobalt 2.2L. First it wouldn't start... broke out the multimeter tracked the problem down and fixed it, then the car was acting funny when it got hot (limiting top speed to 20mph or so)... took a whopping 2 minutes to fix that problem once we got the part.
Overall a good day... now all I gotta do is wait until Sunday or so to start seriously working on Ashley's car (warm and clear), once that's fixed I can finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Get the wonderful task of removing one of the engine harnesses from Ashley's Contour today... car won't start and the harness I'm going to remove is the most common failure item for that car (yes I eliminated other possibilities first)... once removed it's tear down and see if it can be repaired without rebuilding the whole harness, if not then it looks like I'll be making a trip to the junkyard.

So new job is quite interesting... Lots to learn. PCI Compliance and DSS standards... Fun fun! However it's a fun place to work and I'm looking forward to a nice long career there!
