FWIW I have, in the past, called Clevite tech line and given history etc of many 2.5 bearing failure re miles, yes/no on oil pressure light etc. Every engineer I have spoken to agrees with my rod distort/age fatigue that causes loss of crush...Were it a lube system design fault it would not take XX,000 miles to show up...and again I mention that Ford could not replicate the spun bearing on a track with a new SVT....I think they should have used an old one ,around 60>80,000 miles!!!
