Okay as some saw when I first got the car the head lights were in horrible shape. So this is what I started with.

Then a day later I cleaned them up the best I could. Which resulted in this.

Well I got my new head lights in and also my HID 8000k kit. Which now looks like this.

The last few pics where on my phone. So the quality isn't that great, but you can still tell a heck of a difference!

What did you use to clean them up? I have a headlight polishing kit with a sealant to maintain the appearance of my headlights. Are you using a sealant to protect the headlights? You may want to look into that as it helps maintain that look for much longer and prevents the UV from returning it back to the original look.

Holy crap those look fantastic, sparkling like diamonds now! Great buy! Have you taken her out at night yet, how do the HIDs look? People are always flashing their brights at me when my lows are running, and I KNOW they are aimed properly.. So I just flash them back, whatever.

Hey, what's going on with the battery? It looks like it's falling over. Also looks like you're missing the acoustic cover on the front of the motor. It should look something like this (just not as dirty LOL): FordContour.Org -> Gallery -> Viewing image -> Here's the motor.. Is this from doing your headlight swap? Just curious.

Still, you get   from me. Nice job.

HIDs are a blessing dude,I no longer outrun my headlights. The lumen spectrum is intense,I need cash so I can jump to 30K purples on my brights. :nopity:

I believe I either have pics at night on here or facebook.

you have to aim them lower then halogen bulbs to avoid that.

Ahh, gotcha. The car came with them already installed. I didn't know the aiming process was different for HIDs, I guess I learn something every day... Thanks BrA! Posted Image

Thanks for the responses. The head lights currently on there are some I got off ebay new. The originals are beyond repair on the inside. Which is what lead me to get new head lights. I took the hids out for now due to flickering and also they glared off to the side a lot more then I thought. If I have the money or the guts to open these up I am going to paint the inside black and reinstall the hids with the correction for the flickering.

As far as the cover goes in the engine bay it wasn't on it when I bought it and also its missing the mesh on the rear bumper.

I'm actually missing BOTH front and rear lower meshes thanks to a not-so-quick wascawwy bunny wabbit in the woad. So I am certainly not one to nitpick. I am also in need of all four jack point covers. I'll get around to it eventually.

I want to see the improved headlights when they are done, so don't forget to post when finished. I really like your car, she's totally hot -- down boy!

:D
