First is it even possible to even replace the firewall engine mount with ATX still installed? I'm reading Ford CD-well sure glad I'm not Ford mechanic-whoever wrote this left too much to the imagination!!!
Does anyone have the Powertrain alignment tool-would appreciate the measurement of distance from the base to the center of the bolt hole.

Is this normal for front mount to wear out before firewall mount?
Thanks any info will help!!!

I am wondering the same thing. I have purchased the forward and rear trans mounts. However, the rear trans mount (firewall side) looks impossible to get to from above and below without removing something. I can't seem to find any useful pictures or instructions on this forum for removing and replacing the rear (firewall side) trans mount.

I've never worked on an ATX model, but it seems common for either mount to fail. The front seems weaker in general to me. I've never used the alignment tool either. I just use a jack and/or pry bar to center the mount in the bracket before torqueing the through bolt.
