So was just driving and my engine just dies and doesnt restart, later I find a blown fuse 20A but for some reason all diagrams I find for my fuse box is different... I replace the fuse only to have it blow out again, so a short somewhere.. I have a 2000svtc, well can anyone tell me which one this is for?

Ah good edit still alive it's going to the PCM Relay-this feeds 5 different circuits the PCM on pins 97 & 71 (unplug PCM cable connector to see if short goes away) by using an ohm meter plug into the none 12vdc where fuse plugs in. This will saving blowing many fuses!!!
Sorry I don't know your level of electrical troubleshooting ability!!!!
Three other components to unplug the IAC the idle air solenoid, @ the VSS vechicle speed senor on the tranny I suppose I have ATX and it's under neath back of an automatic,3 the EVR solenoid the easy one on the back of the upper intake and round the pcm uses to control the vacuum to the EGR.

/repairGuideContent.jsp?pageId=0996b43f802e5db5

This the URL for Autozone and it has component location to help you locate the VSS .
I thibk I seen it got to get this edit done before time-out?

Look at this attachment pic PCM relay is c-51 note pins 3 & 5 the slot under relay 5 is the good place to put ohm meter to ground.
It should read open or no continuity, pin is input from F41. Troubleshooting automotive electrical can be frustrating, takes practice and lots of it. I'm 64 and still learning myself.
Having you been doing any work in the areas of the previous post items to check?

There are only a few parts that will stop the engine cranking..*Ign switch*Start inhibit switch on the clutch pedal*PATS module...It's a basic circuit for cranking..

...for example..If you have no power at the starter sol wire when the key is turned to 'crank'..working back from the sol it could be *Starter relay*Ign switch*Clutch pedal switch*PAT's issue...

Success! Car started today and it was the speed sensor shorting out the entire car from running ! But FYI car will not crank with pcm out as I tried it. But thanks for everyone's input. It was not fun driving around in a 96 sentra with a clutch that has one super stiff clutch, and no power!
