HI guys, sorry to dredge up a topic from the other board....but there was a group buy on some beefed up front lower control arms that I was very interested in, and was supposed to be ready about this time.....
Does anyone have any more information, or the email contact of the principal involved? Or failing that, perhaps there is a solution on this board? I just wanted a replacement for the stamped OEM pieces and I wanted to support any made in the USA solution.
Best to everyone for 2012

Yes, I believe so.

I do not know the contact information of the gentlemen making those but I have reservations with using an aluminum suspension component on a road car.
However, I had a set of one off urethane control arm bushings for the 4 bolt setup but have since taken it off the car due to some issues. I am in the process of sorting these issues out and "may" be offering a DIY replacement 'kit' for the 4 bolt arms in the future provided I can get the cost low enough as there seems to be a genuine market for these.

What was he selling those arms for (set) versus what were people expecting to pay?

He took a poll initially, and people were willing to pay about $400 per set....iirc,.....I know that is what I was willing to pay, and there were at least 10 of us willing at that price.....however, I'm sure final price hadn't been calculated as he was still in design stage and pricing materials.....of course my info is almost a month old now. Does that seem a doable price?

To clarify things, are these 2-bolt or 4-bolt arms you're after?
I'm aware of the market for the 4-bolts and would only be making a replaceable bushing set for the 4-bolt arms as they are more expensive to replace at over $300 for a set of Motorcrafts (alternative manufacturers having questionable quality). I could also do boxing plates that you weld in.
The 2 bolt design is a bit different and I would not be doing anything with those at this time.

I've been doing some more research. At this time, I will not be offering these. Due to the nature of the part and the potential results from a failure (should such an event arise), the legal mess is not something I'm prepared to handle. It only takes one....

I just found this thread, if you have a set of two bolt lower control arm, I can mod them for you, this includes reinforcing the stock ones, using MOOG hardware, and urethane bushings. It makes a difference in the way the car handles, it cuts down on understeer some. The only drawback is the noise the polyurethane makes ( squeak squeak!). I am not selling anything so I hope I am not breaking forum rules. If I did, my apologies.
