A while ago someone on either this web site or CEG was selling small blue oval emblems that would fit in the horn pad of a Contour. I was stupid and didn't get one when they were available. I really like the way it looked and the original embossed horn pad emblem looks bad. Does anyone have any idea of what these came off of? I've been trying to ebay one and can't find anything small enough.
Thanks Paul

Go to the jy I always forget the vehicle but it is a smaller older ford. when you see one that looks close pop it off and check it against a Tour. Clean it and attach it with some silicone on the back. Cost usually around 1$ sometimes free.

Thanks for the info, It's an old car and deserves old mods LOL. It may be a while cause there aren't many JYs in Fairfield CT. The tree hugging Prius folk have gotten rid of them all. If anyone out there has one to sell let me know.
Thanks Paul

Don't give up on ebay - that's where I got mine about 2 years ago. It was used, fits perfectly. There was (is?) an online emblem company I got it from but don't remember the name anymore. BTW did you solve your idle problem? Was it the idle control module like I suggested?

Special thanks to Aussie. Received emblem today and installed it. This is much much better. Here are the pictures of the proscess.
1. Before, Clean area well.
2. Carefully remove the metal backing plate with the clips.
3. Use the proper emblem tape. I've used this tape to hold my 24V emblems on the fenders.
4. Lay the emblem on the tape and press.
5. Cut the excess tape off. I just used a good scissor.
6. Peel backin to expose the other sticky side.
7. Stick. Can't be easier than this.

I was having the same location problem. Aussie Ford helped me out with the emblem. The biggest problem is locating one in a JY. Aussie thinks its off of a Tempo. Happy hunting.
