The air temperature mix control on my dash does not appear to work correctly. I have either full heat or full cold, when I try to adjust the temperature knob to the middle position, it suddenly changes from cold to full hot with not adjustment range in between. Has anyone ever run into this hot/cold no middle temp problem before? The control itself seems to have some detent positions in it so I suppose this might be the source of the problem if it is somehow bad. It just seems odd there is no medium heat mixture position, just full hot or cold.

The blend door is electrically controlled by a motor. Either the control or the motor may be causing the issue. I haven't replaced any in my time so far, but tomorrow's a new day...lol. I would check the blend door to make sure it's not bound up, normally removing the blend motor and moving the door manually will allow you to feel if there is something binding it up. If not, you can change the temperature and watch the blend motor move and see if it's working correctly.

Thanks. I'll look into that. The door must be moving from one extreme to the other as I do have full hot and cold, just nothing in between like warm.
