Hello everyone...

I am in the final stages of a 3L transplant, and cannot seem to find the proper returnless rail for this LIM. There is a serious height issue. I was informed that an Escape/Tribute rail would fit, however, the one I purchased is far too tall.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Attached is a pic of the one I used for my 3L swap (01' rail with 04'+ manifolds) and had no fitment issues. What exactly is it contacting? Post pics if you can...

Problem I see is he is using the Nautilus custom LIM... God knows what really fits that thing and where the mounting posts are.

Hence why I didn't chime in earlier - That info will either need to come from another NPG LIM owner or Joey himself @ Nautilus.

It seems NPG uses the same fuel rail. Your best bet is to contact them and see what's going on.

That looks like an earlier Escape fuel rail from 2003... I've used those before.

This is the only other rail I've found. Is this the one you're using?

That is the exact LIM and Escape rail that I'm working with. I have no idea how they managed to fit that over the injectors. They may have welded shorter tabs for the bolts.

Also, I have been unable to reach them.

That rail came with my MPV 3L. It lines up correctly, but has the same height problem.

Post some pics if you can so we can see exactly what's going on. Do the injectors seat at all?

When using the NPG LIM you need to bolt the escape fuel rail on from under the metal portion. I know it doesn't make any sense to do it that way since the torque will be pushing the rail away from the injector ports, but that's the way it is.

Actually, you need the earlier style rail instead of the later style rail. If I go to the shop later I'll try to snap some shots of different rails and detail the differences between them all.

Thanks for the info. Now that I've looked at it several hundred times, it does make sense, as strange as it looks!

That rail in the first picture from the Noble forums is the earlier Escape rail (2002-2004) which has the round quick spring lock connector like our rails. The newer Escape rails and the Fusion rails have a smaller plastic connector that snaps on with a lock.

The rails are two different heights.
