My bulb has burned out in my 98 CSVT Digital Clock as most do. Now my question is where can I get the bulb at? I went on Ebay and bought some bulb which I was told by another svt owner told me about. Put the bulb in and nothing. The clock still will not light up. Any help would be great!

I would check the fuses. But chances are other lights would be out. Could be the bulb is dead, didn't make proper contact, etc. Was it an LED? It might be reversed. Other then that I am not sure.

What type of bulbs do you guys use when they go out? Is there somewhere I can get bulbs that might fit better?

I replaced my bulb years ago with an LED and never looked back. I realize getting a factory bulb is a PITA, so it's hard to tell someone where to go. Chances are even a good used bulb will go bad eventually... I would look into someone knowledgeable soldering a LED replacement in and you'll never replace it again.

What size led bulb did you go with then? I know someone who could do that.

So did you remove the bulb from the twist lock that it came in and then soldered it in or did you solder it in with the twist lock in place? You don't remember which bulb you got out of all of them?! LOL

I've done quite a few for people, in the end I just ordered a 194 replacement and opened the hole slightly and it fits in snugly without issues. I soldered directly to the copper pads.

Oh ok. One more question! Did you take a part the clock or just do it all as if it was just pulled out of the car? And how did you open the hole up?

I took the clock out of the car and did it inside. I used a drill bit to open the hole up slightly. It's not real hard to do, just be careful to not make it too big.

The one I'm looking at is the B8.4D. It looks to be the exact one that comes stock.

I use a 2721MF at the shop as a replacement for the clock bulb (as a regular plug in installation like the factory). You will need to peel the green tint rubber off of the original lamp and apply it to the replacement for the correct color match.
