That's right! It's been a couple of years since I have had a part time apprentice and I'm looking to fill that position. The apprentice position is a learning and assisting position. You will learn how to build 3.0L's, tricks, tips and also perform the work as your proficiency rises. The position does not pay starting out till I get comfortable with the skill level presented. This is an investment in knowledge and also long term help as I will take care of who is hired. The position is part time (20 hours or less a week, consisting of weekends mostly and some week nights). This can work for a person working a full time job (as the weekend part can be flexible).
Requirements:
You - Be mechanically inclined, self starter and eager to learn. Need to be able to lift 100lbs, not afraid of shop environment and can take direction. Not afraid to get hands dirty, or self for that matter..lol. Someone with previous shop or automotive classes preferred, but basic knowledge and aptitude will work. Keep in mind the bulk work at S3M is Contour/Mystique and Cougar based - But you will encounter may other cars as well. We work on anything really, brand new to vintage... Lot's of opportunity to expand your horizons past just the CDW27 platform. I do rebuildables, interiors and airbag work and we've even done Hybrids as well.
Please email me at stage3mw@gmail.com for consideration.
Thanks,
-Dominic
