I had noticed that my '95 had some strange handling characteristics, especially when wet. Then came the day I went over the

Hood River -White Salmon Bridge...a steel grated bridge. I almost couldn't keep the car straight at 25MPH! The rear end was dancing all over the place.

Took it into Firestone for an alignment. The word "crabwalk" was used to describe its condition when it arrived. One wheel (right rear) was simply adjusted all the way one way, with no apparent regard to alignment. The tech asked if the car had ever been aligned...he said it was so far out of adjustment he was surprised I could keep tires on it! Little did he know...

To say the car drives better now is a huge understatement. No more fights with the ruts on the freeway. No more twitchy handling in the corners. Fuel economy is up as well, naturally. I think it handles as well as my SVT did, except for the 15" tires. That'll change soon enough though.

Get your alignment checked folks! You'll be glad you did.

Yea, it's amazing. Glad to hear you got yours "straightened" out. I just put new rear sway bar end links on my GL yesterday, but there's a grinding from the right rear brake now. I'll bet one of the shoe pin clips popped off (again). Always something, eh?

Yes, definitely!
