Yup! First time I pulled mine out on the used-but-new-to-me car it was disgusting. I vowed to never let it get that way. So every spring, along with the spring cleaning it gets done.

I would generaly go with personal experience over any "car dude's" recommendation. Rarely if ever will 12 car dudes agree on anything except that the 13th guy doesn't know his Shine-ola. For any brand of gear or car-parts, you'll find someone who has had a bad experience (and generally it is their own competence that is called into question). Use what you know and have been happy with.
