Traded a rifle for the motor, runs smooth and sounds mean. Atkin's Street Port motor with HKS Wastegate, T-70 ported turbo, and Greddy everything else. Also came with Koyo radiator and Greddy Intercooler.

Nice find, it's amazing how small those motors are and how much they put out.

Im surprised they aren't in more applications with more development. They have their quirks but im sure with more development they could become more desirable. Most of the major problems were fixed with the latest generation. Yet only Mazda seems to have any interest.

They got a lot of bad rep originally due to massive overheating problems and the low life span.

Getting the transmission tomorrow, just need the rest of the parts for the manual swap. Motor will be coming out next week and I will start prepping the engine bay for paint.

Scrapped the single turbo rotary and waiting to find a good deal on an LS3 and 6peed T56, will be going twin remote mount turbos. That is the idea anyways, meanwhile, here is a pic of the engine bay after paint.

Didn't like the thought of having to rebuild every 30-40k miles in the racing scene, and Mazda just two months ago said they are no longer making parts for rotaries, including the Rx8.

Both the girls are in the shop and git the front end and most of the engine bay for the Rx7 back together.

No more RX-8 parts? Please tell me there's some chance you're wrong on this......
