Daytime Running Light Resistor. Where is it?

Recommended Posts

I ordered some 120 led 9005 bulbs for the high beam/daytime running lights. The problem is that they need full power and they don't work for the daytime running lights because there is not enough voltage to them.

Does anyone know where the resistor for DRL is located? is it in the DRL Relay? is it a resistor wire? what does it look like.

Thanks,

Darcy

You do have the white socket in your battery junction box right? If I read this correctly you have the functional DRL's and are just trying to change bulbs. I think that is in the relay.

Aussie - I know you posted a COMPLETE pictorial of how to install this DRL relay, but I can't post to it. Here is the part number that was asked for by zxtuner - who I emailed him directly on.

From our favorite rockauto, select Canadian and your fav tour. STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # RY1474   It was truly as you stated - remove buss-bar, install relay, start vehicle and enjoy. Would love to have DRL's on my '95, no go due to different fuse box than my '98.5
