muzzym Posted September 8, 2004 Share Posted September 8, 2004 1999 Contour 2.0L I am having trouble locating the TDC mark on the crank pulley. There seems to be a small "nick" in the pulley on the edge which seems to line up with the mark on the block when cylinder #1 is at the top. Is this the correct mark or should there be something more pronounced? In the after-market manual, it shows a large notch, however I cannot see it, it is just not there as shown. BuckeyeSVT Posted September 9, 2004 Share Posted September 9, 2004 Sure, However, there is a special tool that is used to position the Crankshaft at TDC and prevent it from moving while installing the T/Belt.
