That sounds quite a bit like my engine did before it threw a con rod. It sounded aa lot like it could be valve train noise & it did not sound like it was coming from deep down inside the engine. -Dave

At first, I didn't realize I had the SVT pieces, but a little lurking here & another Contour enthusiast forum, I figured it out. The car is the way I bought it. I will be looking for an SVT front bumper at a good price. I'm planning to get a low restriction K&N air filter, & I'd like to get a power driver seat. My doesn't like to sit so low in the car. -Dace
