  1. Congrats on the new CSVT! I Live in Vegas and just picked up a silver 2000 as well and I love it! If you ever make it down here give me a ring. Dave
  2. I installed my autometer fuel pressure gauge last week and I've been watching to see what its been doing and here's the results: When I fire it up the pressure goes to 40 then drops to 30. When I hit the gas it quickly jumps to 55 then continues to drop to 30. When I'm doing normal driving it stays at 30? I know that I have the upgraded fuel pump because the last owner must of had it done and it also has the tabs broke off in the tank. I'm just not sure what the pressures need to be at. The car has been loosing power above 3000 rpm and I have checked everything including the imrc which works fine, a complete tune up was just done and I also checked for vacuum leaks which I found none? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Davey
  3. I'm with you guys and I told my buddy to not even bother
  4. Dom I didnt have the connector backwards I had the tps 180 in the wrong direction. (the inside of it that is)
  5. I've been finding a few different opinions on how to exactly test the TPS and they have all been conflicting. Can someone please explain to me the proper way to test it and also how much can a a TPS that isn't adjusted properly affect the overall performance of the car? I ask because the car lacks power above 4000 RPM and I've cleaned the UIM, LIM, throttle body, new plugs, new wires, made sure the imrc is operating OK (replaced resistor with tip 121) and checked fuel pressure which is OK. I'm pulling the y-pipe off this weekend to gut the precats to rule that out which I personally think could be the cause of my problems. Let me know what you guys think or if I missed something? Thanks a lot Davey
  6. I totally agree Terry I was just curious because I have a friend of mine that has a CSVT with a bad trans and he wants his wife to be able to drive it so he was wondering if that would be possible?
  7. I have a autometer fuel pressure gauge that I took off of my mustang and I would like to use it on my CSVT. Has anyone installed one there's and do I just remove the insert in the testing port on the fuel rail and hook my line up to there? Thanks in advance for any advice and help. Davey
  8. Just out of curiosity can you put an automatic transmission in a CSVT? Has anyone done it and what is all involved besides the obvious stuff?
  9. I figured it out! I went to retrace my steps from taking the intakes off and every time I unplugged something I would check to see if it would turn over. When I got to the throttle position sensor I unplugged it and the car cranked? I pulled it off again and I must of had it turned 180 degrees the wrong way because I switched it and the car works great! Just thought I would let everyone know,
  10. I also wanted to let you guys know that the check engine light will not light up with the key in any postion
  11. I disconnected the clutch position sensor and jumped it to verify that wasn't the problem and it still didn't change anything? I also just went outside to see what the pats light was doing and it's blinking every 2 seconds with the key off and when I put the key in an turn it to the run position it goes blank and does nothing? I'm ready to pull my frickin hair out!
  12. Hi guys I've been talking with a Dom a little about the problem I have and I don't want to bother him to much so I'll let all of you know whats going on. Earlier in the week i decided to pull the intakes off and clean them up and replace the plugs and wires as well. Yesterday I put everything back together only to try and start it and it wouldn't even crank? Everything in the car works and powers up but it will not turn the engine over. I put a new battery in it, ignition switch, looked at all of the power and ground wires going from the battery to under the fuse box etc, checked all of the fuses under the hood and the dash and I have found nothing! (#27 under dash was bad but that was for the lighter) The car started perfect on Sunday when I parked it and now this. I didn't disconnect the 40 pin main harness either encase anyone was wondering. Please give me an idea of where to look next because I don't want to take it to the dealership. Thanks in advance everyone Davey
  13. Did you figure out what the problem with your is? I went out to start mine today and I got the same thing! Turn the key all the way and nothing, but everything in the car works fine?
  14. My name is Dave and I just purchased a 2000 Silver CSVT. Its a really clean car that has 160,000 on the clock and I really excited to get my hands dirty and start going through this bad boy. I believe there's an issue with the intake runners because the car is really lacking power so I'm going to be pulling everything apart to give it a once over. Feel free to offer any suggestions on what you guys think I should all be doing? Thanks in advance! Dave
