About Con-man

  1. Okay Zetec Family here is my problem. I have a 95 zetec 5 speed 4cyl. There is a coolant leak coming from the passenger side front. I checked under the car seems that the leak is coming from over the air compressor.I checked the pipes didn't find anything.I just changed my timing belt and water pump about 4 or 5 months ago. This is the strange part is it only leaks when I park down hill. My drive way has a little down hill slope and sometimes I will park the car on the slope that is when it leaks. If the car is park in a flat area it doesn't leak. Also it only seems to be losing the coolant that is in the coolant tank. Once all that coolant in the tank is gone it stops leaking. It doesn't take that much coolant to fill it back up. Let me know what you think. Thanks
  2. Check this out http://www.4113pittsburg.com/Garage/2000SV...sionInstall.asp
  3. Why do you feel the need to modify a Spax strut. They make Spax struts for Tours check here http://www.batinc.net/ Now here is a question I have since we are talking about all struts are pretty much the same. Will the struts from a 1995 Audi A6 fit a 1995 Contour ?
  4. Has anyone every installed the Spax struts? I just notice everytime suspension is talked about the Spax struts are never mentioned. I am talking about the non adjustable struts that are made for lowering springs. I want to try this set up Spax struts with B&G sport spings 1.6 drop
  5. The Link is under construction right now. Keep checking though because that site shows you pictures on how to put the two front bumpers togethers.
  6. For the bumper check this out http://www.ryankneeshaw.com/index.php?opti...5&g2_page=3
  7. Check this out http://www.andysautosport.com/ford/1995_19...eme_dimensions/ You can also find this kit on ebay. In my opinion the SVT kit is the one to get
  8. I'm just curious how much would you pay for a 95SE that does not run. The car has all the parts that you dream about being an owner of a GL. It has leather seats, rear disk brakes, power windows and the SE rims parts that I am looking for anyway. The gentleman that I brought the car from just really wanted it out of his yard. He say's the engine harness is bad. I may take a shot at getting this car to run if I can find a harness at a decent price. If I can't get it to run I'll use all the parts I can for my GL <_<
  9. Here is one I done some time ago never got around to doing the second one as stated it is very time consuming. One suggestion if you do plan to do this I recommend going to the salvage yard and picking up a pair of lights to work on don't use the lights on your car. The light I done was from the salvage yard that is another reason why I haven't finished the second one I need to go get another light. Only purchased one light because I was experimenting didn't think it was going to turn out. I also think I have found a good clear reflective material to help the light flow better.
  10. Terry, What is it going to take for me to get this compressor off. As you stated I won't be able to get this coil on without removing this compressor I've tried eveything?
  11. I was still trying to get the compressor to drop down I loosen a bracket up top and it did drop but not low enough. I am looking at the rear of the compressor it has the two pipes going into it with a bracket over the pipe if I unscrew the bolt back there will I be able to get the compressor out? I mention one shim because when I took my last clutch out that how many was there
  12. Terry, I have everything off the compressor field coil ect I'm trying to get the new stuff on. I just came back in I have the four bolts holding the compressor loose but it still won't fall the gap for the last clutch was 1 shim
  13. Terry, I am trying to change the clutch and it is a 4 cyl. I was just going to change the clutch and the pulley but the coil was like the bearings in very bad shape.
