svtrider98 Posted March 28, 2012 Share Posted March 28, 2012 I have a 98 Ford contour svt. With a duratec 2.5 v6. My vss went bad and my speedometer is not working. How do I get this issue fixed? imadrid Posted March 28, 2012 Share Posted March 28, 2012 The VSS is located on top of the diff, from under the car feel where the axles are and follow the little hump on the case until you feel the VSS sticking out. I found that it was easy to get to from the bottom with a open wrench. Once it breaks lose take it off with you hand and put back in the same way.
