I know what it is like to lose a close friend and family member, i lost my dad when i was 12, i wish that i knew what i do now, with my faith lying heavily in the lord now i would have leant on him. Just like to the song lean on me Lean on me, when your not strong and i'll be your friend, i'll help you carry on. For it wont be long till i'm gonna need somebody to lean on. Put your life in his hands, he will give you the reassurance that you will see her again, and in her greatest form. My sadness and condolences go out to you my friend, you can trust that i will check this forum for updates on how you are doing. This story brought a tear to my eye, so I can only imagine what you must be going through. I might suggest the same to you. It always had a way of cheering him up, and it always helps cheer me up now. "What a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong... you just have to keep your eye on the good things in your life and in hers. Props to you for considering donating the insurance money to her cousin's uninsured family... thats a very mature thing to do, especially at a time like this. I cant imagine what you are going through. I would imagine by looking at her birth date that we are about the same in age and I am enguaged and a senior in College, and dont know what I would do if I lost her. I can relate as I have lost my best friend a few years ago to a Drunk Driver and it can tear your life and those lives around you apart. Trust in God and stick to your faith is the best I can offer. Seriously consider some kind of counseling as this can have unimaginable effects on your life as I have seen first hand. Remember that she is in a better place now and away from pain. And that bastard will get what he deserves regardless of what you do. Nothing any of us can say will make it easier but everyones thoughts are with you. I really hope that someone will read this and think twice about driving a car after drinking. It is sad that some people have such a lack of respect for themselves and for others that these life altering tragedies happen. Please do not hesitate to ask for help or guidence through the hard days ahead. You should not try to get throught this on your own. I read all the posts and you have a wealth of people that are here for you, not counting the people that actually have meet and know you.
