Hello, I was wondering if there was a parts list that anyone has made for the swap. I believe my 2.5 SE just said it was done. So I am possibly looking at doing the swap. If anyone had made one and a list of possible upgrades to the 3.0L. I have a 98 SE or 98.5 SE I think and I am wanting the 3.0L swap. Is it best just to buy a totaled SHO if I can find one? Is there a How To Guide? Parts List: Needed UpGrades Motor: Year ?? 3.0l Taurus, SHO if available Wiring: ??? Clutch: upgrade ??? Other Parts: ??? Thanks for your help.

I just got Torque app. and a bluetooth OB2 reader. Trying to find out what is causing my car to buck when accelerating. at low RPMs. I am reading about +28 to +35 at normal and when the bucking starts in drops to +6 to +10 causing it to buck bad timing. Also no codes are being given. Does anyone have the timing advance numbers? Or does anyone know why it would lose timing advanced or how the car changes it timing vacuum or mechanical? I am thinking a vacuum leak but unsure how to find it, car will not act up in driveway.

The only down side I know of here in the San Francisco Bay area is they have to use it and the prices are off the charts. Just about had to total my car out for fender replacement and paint hood and fender. $1750 (1000 for paint, 400 for parts, and 350 for labor) No more $300 Maaco repaint. Other then that the paint looks great. Now I have two freshly repainted hood and fender and the rest looks like crap. Mine was black so matching was not an issue.

Question. Does anyone know of a relay under the glove box? I am getting a random clicking under the glove box at start-up and then stopping after a while. There is not pattern to the clicking or change when different settings are changed: A/C, heater, fan speed, or radio.

I have a simple question. What symptoms will the cause once it goes out? And how would I check to see if mine has gone out? I am having a hesitation at low RPM's.

Thank you guys, I have the autolite in there now I was just checking. The E3's had the same claim as the Autolites.

Not to bring up the debate but has anyone tried the new E3 Spark plugs. I have emailed E3 and asked them about the use of the plugs in the Ford 'wasted spark' ignition system.
